What is your cancellation policy?
If you need to reschedule your appointment, Polished Boston requires 24-hour notice to avoid a cancellation fee. Cancellations with less than a 24-hour notice will incur a 100% fee of the service total. NO EXCEPTIONS (this also includes last-minute cancellations due to tardiness & giving the service provider insufficient time to complete the appointment, or confirming booked services & then reducing them during the appointment). NO-SHOW/NO-CALL appointments will automatically be charged 100% of the service total. Not showing up twice without notice will result in no future bookings. By requesting this appointment, consent is given to the policies and responsibilities listed. The cancellation policy is in full effect, no exceptions.

I already have gel on my nails, do you charge for removal?

Why do you perform water-free manicures?
We do everything in our power to give you a long-lasting manicure. When the nail bed soaks in water, the nail plate expands which can compromise the surface prior to placing on a new coat of polish. Instead of soaking, we spray cuticles with water to clean them thus preventing nail beds from expanding and ensuring the nail surface is clean and ready for polish.

What is the difference between gel/shellac and acrylic nail polishes?
Gel/shellac polishes do not have fumes thus creating a healthier environment for everyone. Most importantly, gel/shellac polishes are easily removed in 5 or so minutes. Acrylic polishes can require drilling and/or soaking nails in acetone for an hour which weakens nails and creates unhealthy fumes.
